A national roadshow will be travelling to Ipswich this November as part of the Small Business Saturday campaign.
The tour supported by BT will be visiting towns across the UK and arrives in Ipswich on Friday 29 November. In each of the 23 towns and cities, small business and the people who run them will be highlighted for the impact they have on our communities and the economy.
As part of the campaign which counts down to Small Business Saturday on 7 December, free online training, mentoring, and webinars are also being offered to small businesses to help them thrive.
To further champion small businesses in the town centre, Ipswich Borough Council, in partnership with All About Ipswich, will be running a social media campaign aimed at encouraging Ipswich residents to shop local and support small businesses. The campaign will also target shoppers elsewhere in the borough to showcase the richness and variety of shopping and dining offered by independent businesses in Ipswich.
Councillor Neil MacDonald, Leader of Ipswich Borough Council says:
“We’re thrilled to see the Small Business Saturday tour coming to Ipswich to tell the stories of the small businesses who make an important contribution to our local economy.
“Small Business Saturday on 7 December is a key date in the calendar for highlighting the impact small businesses have on our community each and every day of the year. We hope businesses will the take the opportunity to get involved with the campaign and benefit from the free support being offered.”
Small businesses in Ipswich can sign up to get involved in the free daily programme of online training and insight online.
