Applications are now open for performers from Ipswich, Suffolk and the East Anglian region to have their chance to play live at Ipswich Music Day 2025.
Giving singers, musicians and bands the opportunity to appear in front of thousands of people on Sunday 6 July, the event is a fantastic opportunity for up-and-coming artists to showcase their talent.
Running for the 35th year, Ipswich Music Day is the UK’s biggest free one-day music festival. Organised by Ipswich Borough Council, this family-friendly event in Christchurch Park will feature six stages of performers celebrating all types of music alongside fairground rides, activities, a market and food vendors.
Applications to be part of this year’s line-up can only be submitted by completing an online form available on the Ipswich Entertains website at www.ipswichentertains.co.uk/ipswichmusicday
Closing date for entries is midnight on Sunday 30 March. An Advisory Group will review all applications and inform successful applicants by Friday 18 April.
Councillor Neil MacDonald, Ipswich Borough Council Leader, says:
“Ipswich Music Day is one of my favourite days of the entire year. It’s the highlight of the events calendar for the Council, as well as our co-sponsors and everyone who makes Christchurch Park come alive with the sound of music, fun, and entertainment.
“Last year we received applications from over 300 artists, with 45 being successful and taking to the stages to perform live to audiences throughout the day.
“In 2025, we hope to attract even more performers and once again bring an array of different musical genres to delight the crowds. Ipswich Music Day is a brilliant celebration of entertainment, culture and local talent, so all aspiring musicians who want to be part of it – apply now!”
