Drug and alcohol services

Ipswich Borough Council does not directly provide a support and advice service for people affected by alcohol or drugs, however we work with a number of partners who can provide this service.

Services provided for adults and young people in Ipswich are provided by Turning Point in conjunction with Suffolk Family Carers and Iceni.

Services provided include:

  • Open access services for all
  • Harm reduction services including needle exchange provisions, naloxone, and nitazenes test strips.
  • Structured group work programme
  • Recovery support and aftercare
  • Outreach and community initiatives
  • Family interventions
  • Support to families and carers
  • Specialist nursing staff
  • A revitalised shared care service
  • Dedicated recovery workers
  • Complementary therapies
  • Activities and trips.
