Activities

Orwell Country Park is a large space and allows for a range of activities including:

• Geocaching 
• Bird Watching
• Walking (including dog walking) - View the map of Orwell Country Park walking routes (PDF)
• Watching historic barges on the estuary

Volunteer opportunities

You can volunteer with the Ipswich Borough Council Wildlife and Parks and Cemeteries teams. This involves working across all green spaces in Ipswich, including Orwell Country Park. Find out more about volunteering.

What to note:

• Cycling

  Not allowed in the park. Check Ipswich cycle routes for nearby options.

• Camping and fires

  Not permitted.

• Motorbikes

  Not allowed.

• Bait digging: 

  Personal use must follow the voluntary code of conduct (PDF). Commercial bait-digging is not permitted.
