The local development scheme sets out the timetable for local plan preparation. In response to a request from the Deputy Prime Minister in a recent Chief Planner newsletter of 13 December 2024, in which all local authorities were asked to make sure they have an up to date plan timetable in place, an update to the Local Development Scheme has been prepared.
This document sets out the Council’s current position on plan-making, an indicative timescale for a future Local Plan and information on the preparation of other planning policy documents.
