Ipswich Borough Council is now using a text message service to keep in touch with tenants. This service offers a convenient way to welcome new tenants and provide important updates.
What the SMS service includes
Our new text message service will send the following types of messages:
- Welcome a tenant to their new home / garage or other property tenancy
- Contact a tenant about their Direct Debit payment
- Advise of a Rent Account that may be in debt
- Contact a new Universal Credit claimant.
What you can do with the text messages
hen you receive a text message, you will have the option to choose one of three links:
- Pay Balance: Visit the payment screen to pay any outstanding balance.
- Get Assistance: Access further help and support if needed.
- Contact Us Online: Reach out to us online. Your message will be forwarded to an Income Officer who will then get in touch with you.
This service aims to make communication easier and help you manage your tenancy effectively.
