Animal Welfare - Microchipping of Dogs Regulations 2015

The Microchipping of Dogs Act came into effect in April 2016. It is now an offence not to have your dog micro-chipped unless it is registered as a working dog or younger than 8 weeks old.

This means that any dog breeder should have any puppies that they sell micro-chipped if they more than 8 weeks old.
